He hates our window

My husband just got out of the hospital and he likes to spend a lot of time in the living room but one thing that he hate about our living room is too much sun comes in to the window. I have been trying to decide which type of blinds I want to put to our window that will cut down the amount of sunlight and save money at the same time.
